Johnson dominates Judah

Six years is a long time to wait for the opportunity to avenge a bad decision. For Glen Johnson, though, it was worth it.

Johnson, the former RING light heavyweight champion, dominated overmatched Daniel Judah from beginning to end to win a unanimous 10-round decision Friday night in Hollywood, Fla.

Johnson (49-12-2, 33 knockouts) and Judah (23-4-3, 10 K)s) fought to a draw in 2003 but most observers believe Johnson won the fight.

There was no doubt about Saturday’s fight. Johnson put Judah down in the first round with a big right and, fighting at 40 like the non-stop punching machine he’s always been, never let up the rest of the fight.

The taller Judah, who has lost four of his last seven fights, helped Johnson by fighting inside. Judah might be finished as a contender.

Johnson has won two straight since he lost a controversial decision to Chad Dawson last April. He hopes to fight the winner of the WBC title fight between Adrian Diaconu and Silvio Branco.
