Chambers outpoints Dimitrenko

Eddie Chambers outpointed previously unbeaten Alexander Dimitrenko in a WBO title eliminator Saturday in Hamburg, Germany.

Chambers (35-1, 18 knockouts) was the aggressor throughout the fight, forcing Dimitrenko (29-1, 19 KOs) to take a standing-eight count after a hard body shot in the seventh round and putting the 6-7 Ukrainian down with a left hook in the 10th.

Two judges had Chambers winning -- 117-109 and 116-111 -- while the third somehow had even at 113-113.

Chambers was criticized after he outpointed former titleholder Sam Peter in his last fight for fighting too carefully.

On Saturday, he was more than aggressive enough to keep Dimitrenko moving backward and score points consistently.

Dimitrenko is based in Germany.
