10: Best super middleweights

A weekly boxing list compiled by Michael Rosenthal. This week: My colleague Doug Fischer and I provide our super middleweight Top 10 after victories by Arthur Abraham and Carl Froch on Saturday in Europe. This list has no connection to the official RING ratings.

1. Mikkel Kessler: He’s the man until someone knocks him off.
2. Arthur Abraham: The super middleweight king in waiting?
3. Lucian Bute: We have to take him seriously until he loses.
4. Carl Froch: Mediocre boxer has an “0” in the loss column.
5. Librado Andrade: Has a chance to make a statement against Bute.
6. Andre Ward: First test – a huge one – comes against Kessler.
7. Andre Dirrell: Could’ve made a big statement against Froch.
8. Sakio Bika: Hasn’t lost in more than two years.
9. Robert Stieglitz: Took a giant leap by stopping Karoly Balzsay.
10. Allan Green: Wasn’t impressive in his last fight.
