Time-lapse video: Tyler Streeter's latest painting of Manny Pacquiao

Artist Tyler Streeter did a fascinating time-lapse video of him painting Manny Pacquiao.

Tyler Streeter was 7 years old when he put on a pair of boxing gloves to spar with his older brother. After one round, he could no longer hold his gloves up to defend himself let alone throw punches back.

At that moment, when he realized the unusual demands of boxing, he put down the gloves and picked up his paint brushes.

Today, Streeter is an accomplished artist who has maintained great admiration for boxers, who are often his subjects. He has graciously allowed RingTV.com to post his images many times. That includes several depictions of Manny Pacquaio, who faces Antonio Margarito on Nov. 13 in Arlington, Texas.

“Muhammad Ali was the subject of some of my earliest drawings and paintings,” Streeter said. “To this day, I am continually inspired by fighters who take on the greatest challenges and defy the greatest odds. Lately, this has led me to complete number of portraits of the great Manny Pacquiao. I’m amazed at how he continually challenges the best fighters in the world and inspires millions with his leave-it-all-in-the-ring style.

“It seems that Manny is trying to get better every fight, and for me personally, it’s an amazing thing to watch.”

Streeter believes everyone could learn from the toughest of sports.

“I believe a 12-round boxing match is a 47-minute microcosm of life,” he said. “As in life, you enter the boxing ring with a courageous heart and hope for the best. Unfortunately, you will get hit with something you don’t see coming at some point and that's when your 'heart' will be unveiled.

“At that point, you can lift yourself up and make the adjustments necessary to win or just do enough to survive. Either way, you must keep fighting.”

In his latest work, called “Eyes of a Fighter,” Streeter demonstrates his talent and the process of painting on a fascinating time-lapse video. Enjoy.
