Alvarez easily outpoints N'Dou

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez was unable to knockout veteran Lovemore N’Dou but won a one-sided decision in a 12-round junior middleweight bout Saturday in Veracruz, Mexico.

Alvarez (35-0-1, 26) won by scores of 119-109, 120-108 and 120-108, meaning he lost only one round on one card. The 20-year-old Mexican had stopped 11 of his previous 12 opponents, including Carlos Baldomir in his previous fight.

N’Dou (48-12-2, 31 KOs) has never been stopped.

On the undercard, Daniel Ponce de Leon (41-2, 34 KOs) stopped Sergio Medina (35-4, 20 KOs) in the seventh round of a featherweight bout.
