Carl Froch told BBC Radio Five Live that his semifinal fight against Glen Johnson in the Super Six World Boxing Classic will take place on May 21.

Froch, from Nottingham, also said that he is lobbying to have the fight take place in England but nothing has been settled. Quebec also was rumored to be a possible site.

The date for the other semifinal, Andre Ward vs. Arthur Abraham, has not been set. Dan Goossen, Ward's promoter, said only that he is working on a date in May.

Abraham, who has lost his last two fights in the tournament, has scheduled a tune-up bout on Feb. 12 in Germany. No opponent has been selected.

BBC Radio Five Live cited rumors that the representatives of Ward and Abraham are having difficulty agreeing upon a site. Ward's two fights in the tournament have taken place in his native Oakland, Calif. Only one of Abraham's three fights were in Germany, where he lives.
