Trout (22-0, 13 knockouts) nearly pitched a shutout, losing only one round to Alvarez (26-3, 19 KOs) on each of the three cards, to win the vacant regular WBA title. The southpaw from Las Cruces, New Mexico, could next face Cuban contender Erislandy Lara. |
