A Saturday press conference is in the works for smack-talkers Adrien Broner and Paulie Malignaggi.

The British Boxing Board of Control has ordered purse bids for a proposed showdown between heavyweights Tyson Fury and British and Commonwealth titleholder Dereck Chisora. Chisora missed out on two opportunities to fight heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko when the Ukrainian pulled out due to injury. The BBBC has named the unbeaten Fury mandatory challenger for Chisora's titles, and ordered bids to be submitted by noon on April 13. The target date for the fight is late July. The 27-year-old Chisora (14-0, 9 KOs), a native of Zimbabwe, won the British title from Danny Williams in May, and successfully defended the belt by stopping Sam Sexton in September. The 6-foot-9 Fury (14-0, 10 KOs), born and bred in the United Kingdom, is a 28-year-old whose victories include a fifth-round KO of then-unbeaten Marcelo Luiz Nascimento in February and an eight-round decision over then-unbeaten Rich Power last September.
