altJunior welterweight prospect Luis Ramos narrowly outpointed Jose Hernandez to remain undefeated on the Telefutura card Saturday in Costa Mesa, Calif.

Luis Ramos remained undefeated -- barely.

The junior welterweight prospect engaged in a spirited give-and-take brawl with capable Jose Hernandez but emerged with a majority-decision victory on the Telefutura card Saturday night before a sellout crowd of 1,524 at The Hangar in Costa Mesa, Calif.

Two judges scored it for Ramos (a ridiculous 79-73 and 77-75) and the third had it even (76-76).

Ramos (18-0, 8 knockouts) and Hernandez (10-5-1, 4 KOs) tossed defense out the window and took turns rocking one another thoughout the fight, although neither seemed to be seriously hurt at any point.

Ramos, from nearby, Santa Ana seemed to do more damage late in the fight.Hernandez if from Forth Worth, Texas.
