Junior welterweight contender Marcos Maidana wants to fight twice more in 2011 if he beats Erik Morales on April 9 at the MGM Grand Garden Arenain Las Vegas.

Maidana (29-2, 27 knockouts) reportedly hopes to return home to Argentina for a summertime fight, then close out the year in the fall or winter against a major opponent in  the United States.

His upcoming bout with Morales (51-6, 35 KOs) will be Maidana's first ring appearance since he lost to Amir Khanby a unanimous decisionin December. A rematch of that fight seems unlikely since Khan already has commitments to fight Paul McCloskeyin April and then, in all likelihood, Timothy Bradley in late July.
