Anthony Mundine sent Australian rival Garth Wood to the canvas in the ninth and 10th rounds Wednesday night in Queensland, Australia to pull out a tight unanimous decision and avenge a knockout loss in December.

Wood (10-2-1, 6 knockouts) turned out Mundine's lights in the fifth round of their first fight and was an effective aggressor through much of the 10-round rematch. But the two knockdowns ultimately swung the decision to Mundine (41-4, 24 KOs), a former middleweight titleholder. Two judges scored the fight 96-92, while the third had it 95-93, all for Mundine.

The foul-filled fight was preceded by a scuffle between the two fighters at Tuesday's weigh-in.
