Australian lightweight Michael Katsidisis set to fight Englishman Graham Earl in Brisbane this Augustin a rerun of their memorable 2007 brawl.

The pair met for the interim WBO lightweight title in London four years ago, with Earl's corner retiring him at the end of the fifth round.

Earl had been put down three times in the first four minutes by Katsidis and his corner even threw the towel in early in the second round, but referee Micky Vann threw it back out again.

Earl then rallied, putting Katsidis down himself moments later before soaking up countless shots from the Australian in the third and fourth rounds. His corner decided enough was enough after the following round.

Now the pair will do battle again, this time in Katsidis' hometown. It will be the 30-year-old's first fight on home soil for five years.

"It will be on again,” Katsidis told The Sydney Morning Herald. “I will have to be in my best shape for this battle.

"From the day we embraced each other and agreed for a rematch, he chased me and now I will honor my commitment to Graham Earl and give him the rematch he has been seeking."

Katsidis (27-4, 22 knockouts) is coming off back-to-back losses, to Juan Manuel Marquez and Robert Guerrero. Earl (26-4, 12 KOs) hasn't fought since June 2009.

There are currently three Brisbane venues being considered for the clash.
