Super middleweight titleholder Carl Froch saw something that leads him to believe that Glen Johnson could be weight drained in their Super Six semifinal Saturday in Atlantic City, N.J., on Showtime.

Johnson, 42, made the 168-pound limit to fight Allan Green in his most-recent fight but has spent most of his career fighting at light-heavyweight.

Froch thinks Johnson's extra struggle to make weight for the clash will give him an edge on fight night.

"It was a boost for me to see my opponent, Glen Johnson, running down the
beach in his tracksuit, sweating like a madman,” Froch said in an interview with the BBC. “He's obviously struggling at the weight and needing to shed a few pounds.

"That can be a massive factor in terms of energy after five or six rounds. It will be difficult for him to be strong across 12 rounds."

Froch’s conditioning?

"I feel really good," he said. "It's at this stage that if you struggle with the weight, you start to feel weak and tired. But I have done the weight really well.”

Froch has fought exclusively at super middleweight for the past seven years.
