Taylor draws cops in spat with mom
Former middleweight champ Jermain Taylor, who is rumored to be making a comeback in August, attracted the attention of the police during a verbal spat with his mother while both were driving on Tuesday.
Former world middleweight champion Jermain Taylor attracted police Tuesday when he became embroiled in a verbal altercation with his mother on a busy street in Maumelle, Ark.
The Arkansas Times reported that authorities received 911 calls about the confrontation, but both Taylor and his mom had left the scene by the time officers arrived. No blows were thrown by either party, witnesses told police.
According to police, witnesses saw the 32-year-old Taylor driving a black Mercedes, which caught up with a white van being driven by his mother, Carlois Taylor, at one of the city's busiest intersections.
While the two were outside their vehicles arguing, the boxer reportedly threw his mother's car keys on the side of the road, police said.
