Junior middleweight star Saul Alvarez is set to defend his WBC 154-pound title against gutsy veteran Alfonso Gomez on Sept. 17 at Staples Center. The fighters met the media and the public at their recent kick-off press conference in Los Angeles and RingTV.com was there to capture all the highlights

"Unlike his previous opponents I'm going to go in there and try to go for a knockout," said Gomez, who appeared to irk Alvarez with his Spanish-language rap.

"I'm a man, I'm not a clown," Alvarez said. "I do my talking with my fists and up in the ring. I'm going to show this kid who 'Canelo' is."
