altAmir Khan's fans in the United Kingdom will get a Primetime view at his potential rivals Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz on Sept. 17

Floyd Mayweathe Jr.'s fight against WBC welterweight beltholder Victor Ortiz will be televised on Primetime pay per view in the United Kingdom, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer told RingTV.com on Sunday.

Mayweather-Ortiz, dubbed "Star Power," will be on HBO Pay-Per-View in the United States from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

HBO's parent company, Time Warner, plans to use some of its other networks -- such as CNN -- to promote the fight as Showtime did with Manny Pacquiao-Shane Mosley on CBS. HBO also will feature its popular 24/7 series.

"The entire Star Power card will be on pay per view here in the United Kingdom with Primetime as the pay-per-view provider. So in the same way that HBO and Time Warner will be doing in the United States by using their different platforms and the magazines and the television stations, the same thing is going to happen here in the United Kingdom," Schaefer said during a telephone interview from London on Sunday.

"Primetime is owned by a very wealthy group which owns major newspaper assets as well as one of the five terrestrial television stations in the United Kindom. So we made a deal with them where 24/7 is going to be shown in the United Kindom as well. And, the magazines and the newspapers will be in play as well."

The Mayweather-Ortiz winner will be a potential opponent for English junior welterweight titleholder Amir Khan, whose victories in defense of his WBA belt over Paul McCloskey and, Zab Judah were recently aired on Primetime pay per view.

"The Khans have been using Primetime as well," said Schaefer. "So there's going to be a big news conference here about that this week. That will be at Time headquarters in downtown London."
