Hard-hitting junior middleweights Angulo, Kirkland meet on Nov. 5

altA match-up between Alfredo Angulo and James Kirkland is set for Nov. 5 in Mexico, with Peter Quillin-Craig McEwan as the opening bout.

An HBO-televised junior middleweight clash of hard-hitting fighters Alfredo Angulo and southpaw James Kirkland is signed for Nov. 5 in Cancun, Mex., Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer told RingTV.com.

The 29-year-old Angulo (20-1, 17 KOs) and the 27-year-old Kirkland (29-1, 26 KOs) are each handled by Golden Boy Promotions.

The opening bout will feature 25-year-old super middleweight Peter Quillin (25-0, 19 KOs) against southpaw Craig McEwan (19-1, 10 KOs).
