Abner Mares and Joseph Agbeko say they are ready to prove who's the better bantamweight and erase the controversy of their first fight, won by Mares, when they meet again in Anaheim, Calif., on Dec. 3.

IBF bantamweight titleholder Abner Mares and former two-time beltholder Joseph Agbeko say they are ready to prove who's the better bantamweight and erase the controversy of their first fight, won by Mares, when they meet again in a Showtime-televised rematch from the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., on Dec. 3.

Agbeko, who lost a close unanimous decision to Mares in August, believes he will get a fair shake from the referee in the rematch. Mares landed a dozen low blows and borderline punches to Agbeko that went un-penalized by the referee in the first bout.

Mares, THE RING's No. 3-rated bantamweight, is confident of another victory over the Ghanaian veteran and is even predicting a knockout. Agbeko is THE RING's No. 4-rated bantamweight.
