UNBEATEN KELL BROOK, EDISON MIRANDA HIGHLIGHT FROCH-WARD UNDERCARD

Unbeaten British welterweight Kell "Special K" Brook (25-0, 17 KOs) will meet Tennessee native, Luis Galarza (18-2, 14 KOs), in a 10-round bout on what is a stacked undercard of Froch-Ward.

Also on the card is Los Angeles-based heavyweight Bowie Tupou (21-1, 16 KOs) against Donnell Holmes (33-1-2, 29 KOs) of Ivanhoe, N.C., and Puerto Rico-based Colombian Edison Miranda (34-6, 29 KOs) opposite Houston's Cornelius White (17-1-1, 15 KOs) in a light heavyweight bout.

New York-based junior middleweight Boyd Melson (6-0, 3 KOs) will look to continue making a name for himself in a scheduled six-rounder opposite Daniel Lugo (9-1, 4 KOs) of Harrisburg, Pa.

An army reserve captain, Melson donates his earnings to teamfighttowalk.com and justadollarplease.org, organizations raise money for America's first clinical trial using stem cells to treat spinal cord injuries.

New Jersey's John Lennox (7-1, 3 KOs) will face Pennsylvania's Jeremiah Witherspoon (2-1, 1 KO) in a four-round heavyweight bout.

ANDRE DIRRELL-DARRYL CUNNINGHAM ON SHOWTIME DEC. 30

Showtime announced on Monday in accordance with an earlier report by RingTV.com that switch-hitting super middleweight contender, Andre Dirrell (19-1, 13 KOs) will return to the ring against southpaw Darryl Cunningham (24-2, 10 KOs) on the Showtime-televised Dec. 30 card that also features the comeback of former undisputed middleweight beltholder Jermain Taylor (28-4-1, 17 KOs) against Jessie Nicklow (22-2-3, 8 KOs) of Baltimore from the Morongo Resort and Spa in Cabazon, Calif.

Cunningham was scheduled to fight former undisputed middleweight titleholder Kelly Pavlik (37-2, 32 KOs) in August before Pavlik cited issues over money for pulling out of the bout.

Taylor will facee Nicklow, who is 3-0-1, with one knockout since being stopped in the fourth round by Fernando Guerrereo (22-1, 17 KOs) December of 2009.

A former Olympic bronze medalist, Dirrell was last in the ring against Abraham in March of last year. That bout ended in controversy when Abraham punched Dirrell -- who was far ahead on the cards -- while he was down in the 11th round and was disqualified.
