Peterson-Khan assessed by British boxing champs, Sky television analysts
Lamont Peterson-Amir Khan is assessed by former United Kingdom titlewinners Steve Collins, Barry McGuigan and Johnny Nelson.
Former United Kingdom champions and current Sky television network boxing analysts Steve Collins, Johnny Nelson and Barry McGuigan offered their post-fight assessments of Lamont Peterson's split-decision upset that dethroned Amir Khan as IBF/WBA junior welterweight beltholder.
Khan was deducted one point each during the the seventh and 12th rounds by Virginia's Joe Cooper, who was chosen by the commission from a list of four judges provided by the IBF.
IBF Championships Chairman, Lindsay Tucker, and IBF president Darryl Peoples chose not to order an immediate rematch after reviewing the three scorecards and a DVD of the fight in response to a formal protest against the officiating and the scorekeeping from Khan and his promoter, Golden Boy Promotions.
