RingTV.com: How would you describe the three-fight period during which you've worked with Margarito?
RG: Well, bringing Margarito in with over 15 years of experience with trainers who trained him a certain way, you can't really change a fighter after so many years of fighting one way. But it has been a great experience in itself. It was great. We have a great relationship, and I don't regret working with him at all. I actually spoke to him a couple of days ago, and he wants to be very smart about choosing his next fight. He agreed to things that I've told him. The next couple of months, we'll know something.
But it's going to be his decision. It's going to be up to his wife and his managers, who have been with him for something like 15 years. So they'll make that decision on their own. I've only been around for a little over a year, so that's not a lot of time for me to be in position to call the shots.
