Former welterweight titleholder Andre Berto recently gave the Southern California boxing media a look at his hard preparation for his anticipated Showtime-televised rematch with Victor Ortiz on Feb. 11. Berto (28-1, 22 knockouts), who is training at Ten Goose Boxing gym in Van Nuys, Calif., said he learned valuable lessons from their first fight, a 2011 fight-of-the-year candidate, which Ortiz won by close unanimous decision. "I learned never to look past an opponent and to always come in shape and do everything I need to do to come into the ring without any doubts," he said. Berto's trainer Tony Morgan says his fighter has done that this time and Ortiz will suffer the results of their good camp. "Vic's getting kncoked out, no doubt about it," Morgan said. "If Vic lasts 12 rounds I will be extremely surprised. I just don't see it."
