Q&A: Arreola says he's slimmer, smarter and ready to KO Molina

Chris Arreola as usual is offering some choice quotes as he contemplates this weekend's matchup with fellow heavyweight Eric Molina in Corpus Christi, Texas.
RingTV.com spoke to heavyweight contender Chris Arreola, who will be after his seventh straight win against Eric Molina on Saturday night as part of a Showtime-televised tripleheader at American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Arreola (34-2, 29 KOs) is looking to reposition himself for potential title shots against either WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titleholder Wladimir Klitschko, or his older brother, WBC titleholder Vitali Klitschko.
The 6-foot-4 Arreola, 30, suffered his two losses against Vitali Klitschko by 10th-round knockout in September 2009, and by majority decision to Tomasz Adamek in April of 2010.
Arreola rebounded from the loss to Adamek by flooring Manuel Quezada three times over the course of a disappointing, 12-round unanimous decision in August of 2010, during which he suffered injuries to both hands.
Arreola weighed 251, 250, and, 256 against Klitschko, Adamek and Quezada, respectively, but has since slimmed down thanks to a carefully monitored diet and a more deliberate training regimen.
Thanks to his commitment to weight-loss and training under Henry Ramirez, Arreola has stayed fit and busy, fighting a total of five times last year with his weight as low as 234.
His hands now healed, Arreola says that he is both a better fighter and a smarter puncher than ever heading into his clash with Molina.
RingTV.com: What are your thoughts about Molina?
I don't have to devote so much of the camp to just losing weight. Now, not having to worry about that, it's just about boxing. That's the best part about being on weight is that now it's just about boxing.
Eating out is the worst thing that you can do, man, because they feed you a big plate and you feel like you have to eat the whole thing. But you really don't. You just have to eat until you're full and content.
