Watch highlights from the Sergio Martinez-Matthew Macklin final pre-fight press conference in New York City, where the world middleweight championship will take place at Madison Square Garden on St. Patrick's Day. Martinez, Macklin, their trainers Pablo Sarmiento and Buddy McGirt, plus Edwin Rodriguez and Don George, who fight in the HBO-televised co-feature, all had their say.
Said promoter Lou DiBella: "There is no 'stinkability factor' with these two fights."
Said George: "I know I'm going to put on a great show and I'm going to win."
Said Rodriguez: "I like watching George fight because he is an entertaining fighter. I know it's going to be a war because he comes to fight and so do I."
Said Macklin: "Sergio Martinez is universally recognized as the best middleweight in the world. I'm proud to fight him and I'm proud to win the middleweight championship from him at Madison Square Garden. There's nothing bad to say about Martinez -- it's not my style to trash talk anyway -- but he's 37 years old and he'll feel every one of those years on Saturday night."
Said Martinez: "It's a great, great honor to fight in Madison Sqaure Garden. It's very emotional for me. It's the dream of my life."
