Mayweather-Cotto 24/7 debuts on Saturday night on HBO

altSaturday night debuts the HBO 24/7 series chronicling the events leading up to the May 5 clash between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Miguel Cotto. 

HBO’s 24/7 Mayweather/Cotto series will debut on Saturday night at 9:45-to-10:15 p.m. ET/PT as it chronicles the events leading up to the May 5 clash between WBC welterweight titleholder Floyd Mayweather Jr. and WBA junior middleweight beltholder Miguel Cotto.

Mayweather-Cotto will be contested on HBO Pay Per View from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather (42-0, 26 knockouts), who turned 35 in February, is after his eighth title in a fifth division against the 31-year-old Cotto (37-2, 30 KOs), of Puerto Rico. Mayweather is making his sixth appearance on 24/7, and Cotto his third.

On the Mayweather-Cotto undercard, WBC junior middleweight titleholder Saul Alvarez (39-0-1, 29 KOs) will defend his belt opposite ex-titleholder Shane Mosley  (46-7-1, 39KOs), junior welterweight prospect Jessie Vargas (18-0, 10 KOs) meets Alfonso Gomez (23-5-2, 12 KOs), and junior middleweight Deandre Latimore (23-3, 17 KOs) will have a battle of southpaws with former welterweight titleholder Carlos Quintana (28-3, 22 KOs).
