RingTV.com photographer Naoki Fukuda was the big winner in the Boxing Writers Association of America photography contest, placing first in the Action Photo category and second in Feature Photo. Fukuda’s photo of Erislandy Lara landing a face-contorting punch to the face of Paul Williams in July earned him the first-place award. His shot of Nonito Donaire celebrating after his KO victory over Fernando Montiel in February finished second among feature photos. Will Hart of HBO Sports took top honors in the feature category for his shot of a prone Craig McEwan having his mouthpiece removed by the referee after he was stopped by Andy Lee in March. Chris Cozzone of fightnews.com placed second in the action category and third in features. The winners will be recognized at the BWAA Awards Dinner on June 6 in New York.
