The Chris Arreola-Mike Mollo heavyweight bout is officially off Showtime's June 23 broadcast, according to the network. Arreola had to withdraw due to an injury. The co-featured bouts of the show from Staples Center in L.A. will go on as scheduled.

An injury has forced heavyweight contender Chris Arreola to withdraw from his scheduled June 23 fight against Mike Mollo, which was slated to open the Showtime Championship Boxing tripleheader from Staples Center in Los Angeles, Showtime announced on Friday.

The premium cable network will move ahead with a doubleheader featuring two 12-round fights -- former WBC welterweight titleholder Victor Ortiz vs. Josesito Lopez in the main event, and former three-division beltholder Humberto Soto vs. junior welterweight contender Lucas Matthysse in the anticipated co-featured bout of the telecast.

The doubleheader will air live on Showtime at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast). It will be preceded by preliminary bouts airing live on Showtime Extreme at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast).

In the main match-up on Showtime Extreme, junior middleweight prospects Jermell Charlo and Denis Douglin will face each other in a scheduled 10-round bout.
