Pavlik outpoints Rosinsky

CARSON, Calif. -- Former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik defeated Will Rosinsky by a one-sided unanimous decision in a 10-round super milddleweight fight on the Nonito Donaire-Jeffrey Mathebula card Saturday at the Home Depot Center. Pavlik (40-2, 35 knockouts) has won three consecutive fights since he was outpointed by Sergio Martinez in 2010. Rosinsky (16-2, 9 KOs) was game and active but was outworked in the end. Pavlik landed 227 of 661 total punches, according to CompuBox. Rosinsky landed 159 of 564. The final scores were 98-91, 98-91 and 97-92. THE RING scored it 96-93 for Pavlik. Pavlik suffered a deep cut below his left eyebrow. He said it occurred as a result of a punch in the fourth round. The super middleweight bout was scheduled for 10 rounds.
