Bob Arum said Julio Cesar Chavez could fight Brian Vera next, and eventually, Andre Ward.

Amir Khan W 12 Danny Garcia: I like Amir Khan by decision. Simply too much speed and athleticism for Danny Garcia, who while heavy-handed is a bit stiff and mechanical. Record: 11-2
Josesito Lopez, recent upset winner over ex-welterweight beltholder Victor Ortiz Danny Garcia W 12 Amir Khan: I don't really know, initially, what the outcome of that fight will be. But they're both tough fighters, when you think about it. I was actually in Danny Garcia's training camp for his fight with Erik Morales. He's a good kid and I like his style. You what? Amir Khan, I don't know what Amir Khan has to offer. But to me, I hate his style. I don't like his style. So, you know what? I'm going with Danny Garcia for this Saturday night. I think that he will fight hard the whole way through. I think that if he doesn't get a knockout, then I think that Danny Garcia can definitely pull out a decision. Record: 0-0
Paulie Malignaggi, WBA welterweight titleholder, former IBF junior welterweight beltholder Amir Khan UD 12 Danny Garcia: I like Amir Kahn. Experience is a big factor in this sport. Danny Garcia has shown the mettle and the character. That has been demonstrated in the talent he has displayed to deal with Khan's skill set. But I'm going with Khan by unanimous decision. Record: 9-4 Ryan Maquinana, CSNBAYAREA/BoxingScene.com
Amir Khan UD12 Danny Garcia: For Danny Garcia to win, he's going to have to apply constant pressure for 12 rounds and make Amir Khan fight on the inside. Record: 9-4
Jack Obermayer, Fight Fax Inc. Amir Khan KO 7 Danny Garcia: Amir Kahn is a class above for the still learning Danny Garcia, who kind of lucked out in facing an over-the-hill Morales. Kahn needs to look good - and he will. Poor Danny is a good one, but will find that Kahn's speedy attacks will just be too much to handle. Kahn by KO in about seven. Record: 4-2
Record: 1-1
Amir Khan KO 10 Danny Garcia: After the frustrations of the last nine months, Amir Khan must make a significant statement that he is ready to continue where he left off when rudely interrupted by the Lamont Peterson loss. Record: 1-0
Chris Robinson, The Examiner.com/BoxingScene.com
Amir Khan UD 12 Danny Garcia: I like Amir Khan over Danny Garcia over 12 rounds. I feel that Amir is able to do a little bit more in the ring. But I see Garcia giving a good account of himself despite falling a bit short. Record: 6-2
Amir Khan TKO Danny Garcia: Danny Garcia has his chances. Amir Khan is not a good inside fighter, relying on clinching and pushing instead of punching too often. If Garcia can get close, he can land short shots and make things happen. Garcia isn’t a monster puncher but he was able to drop the aged Morales whose chin is probably still more reliable than Khan’s. If he can rock Khan, this will be a firefight. The problem will be getting inside. Garcia doesn’t have the physical strength Lamont Peterson used (if aided) against Khan and the speed gap is palpable. Khan will be hard to find if he stays outside and Garcia is going to eat shots coming forward. This is a good fighter versus a better one with great talent. Look for Khan to score the stop in the last third of the fight. Record: 9-5
Michael Rosenthal, Editor of THE RING
Amir Khan KO 8 Danny Garcia: Danny Garcia has the proverbial puncher's chance against Amir Khan, which isn't much of a chance. Record: 10-2
Joseph Santoliquito/Ring Magazine/RingTV.com/CBS Sports
Amir Khan KO 9 Danny Garcia: I think this is going to be a great back-and-forth fight. Danny Garcia is going to push Amir Khan into areas that are uncomfortable and make it a fight. Record: 4-1
Amir Khan UD 12 Danny Garcia: I've got Amir Khan on a 12 round unanimous decision over Danny Garcia. Record: 2-1
Amir Khan UD12 Danny Garcia: Amir Khan simply has too much experience and skill over Danny Garcia. Record: 11-3
Amir Khan TKO 10 over Danny Garcia: Angel Garcia gave Amir Khan plenty of bulletin board material with his vicious slurs, and Khan has been itching to get back in the ring and prove himself after the whole Lamont Peterson debacle. Danny Garcia's Dad just gives him extra motivation. Khan has superior hand and foot speed, and Garcia, more fighter than boxer with decent power, will be able to last nine rounds or so before a fired-up Khan and Garcia's relative inexperience and speed deficit do him in. Record: 3-2 Amir Khan is favored by the experts, 20-1, to vanquish Danny Garcia for THE RING junior welterweight championship and to unify the IBF and WBA titles.
