Hard-hitting welterweight prospect Keith Thurman, of Clearwater, Fla., floored his rugged opponent and scored his seventh straight knockout at the 1:37 of the sixth round over Orlando Lora, of Culiacan, Mex., in Saturday night's HBO-televised undercard bout to the main event between former WBO junior lightweight beltholder Adrien Broner and Vicente Escobedo at U.S. Bank Arena in Broner's hometown of Cincinnati.

Thurman rose to 18-0 with his 17th knockout, and Lora dropped to 23-3-2, with 19 stoppages.

Thurman and Lora weighed in at 147.5 each for the bout, after which Thurman called out WBO and WBA beltholders Timothy Bradley and Paulie Malignaggi as well as WBC titleholder Floyd Mayweather Jr., who is also the WBA's junior middleweight titleholder.

Lora's last loss was by unanimous decision to Malignaggi in October of last year.
