altIn lieu of a rematch with Manny Pacquiao, WBO titleholder Tim Bradley has named a place and a date for his first defense, and has narrowed the opponent down to three choices.

Tim Bradley will defend his WBO welterweight title on Dec. 15 in New York at Madison Square Garden, RingTV has learned.

A source close to Bradley tells us HBO has approved three potential opponents, one of which is Ruslan Provodnikov.

Bradley was hoping to rematch Manny Pacquiao after winning a controversial split decision in June, but was passed over in favor of a fourth fight with Juan Manuel Marquez.
