altSuper middleweight standout Don "Da Bomb" George will be after his second straight stoppage victory when he meets fellow puncher Adonis "Superman" Stevenson in an IBF title elimination bout on Oct. 12.

Super middleweight Adonis "Superman" Stevenson meets Don "Da Bomb" George in an IBF eliminator matchup at The Bell Centre in Montreal on Oct. 12, and in the co-feature, twice-beaten middleweight contender David Lemieux will return to action against hard-hitting Mexican Alvaro "The Cobra" Gaona, promoter Yvon Michel has announced.

Stevenson (18-1, 15 knockouts) is coming off a second-round stoppage of Noe Gonzalez in April, as well as a sure-fire "Knockout of the Year" candidate over Jesus Gonzales in February.

George (23-2-1, 20 KOs), meanwhile, came up short in a 10-round decision loss to Edwin Rodriguez on HBO in March, but rebounded with a sixth-round stoppage of Dionisio Miranda last month.

A 23-year-old Canadian, Lemieux (26-2, 25 KOs) had a mark of 25-0 with 24 stoppages before being stopped in the seventh round by Marco Antonio Rubio in April of last year and then losing a majority decision to Joachim Alcine last December.

Lemieux has rebounded with a second-round knockout of Juadiel Zepeda in June as he heads into the clash with Gaona (15-1, 12 KOs), who has avenged his lone defeat by stopping Esau Errera in the 10th round.

Alcine was knocked out in the first round by Matthew Macklin on the undercard of Sergio Martinez-Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. headlined event in Las Vegas last Saturday.

"Last weekend I was excited watching boxers in my division like Martinez, Chavez Jr. and Macklin. I thought that is the level I want to be fighting at and as soon as possible," said Lemieux.

"I know I'm not there, yet, but I am neglecting nothing, personally or professionally to get there. I assure you that I am not so too far away."

In other match ups involving undefeated prospects, light heavyweight Eleider "Storm" Alvarez and welterweight Kevin Bizier will return in separate bouts against Hungarian Daniel Regi and Poland's Patrick Litkiewicz, respectively.

Also on the undercard is heavyweight Oscar "Kaboom" Rivas, who faces Joey Dawejko, of Philadelphia, and heavyweight Didier "Big Daddy" Bence, who meets Joseph Harris, of Tennessee.

In addition, former British junior middleweight titleholder John O'Donnell will battle Thomas Mendez.

CLEOTIS 'MOOKIE' PENDARVIS IS BACK IN ACTION ON OCT. 4.

Welterweight Cleotis "Mookie" Pendarvis (16-3-1, 5 KO's), of Los Angeles, will return to the ring against Milton Ramos (8-3-1), of Waco, Texas, in the co-main event on Oct. 4 in Houston, Texas.

A slick-boxing southpaw who models himself after ex-titleholder Pernell Whitaker, Pendarvis hopes to break into the top tier of his division by next year.

"We are looking forward to Oct 4th. We realize we are fighting in Ramos' back yard, and we don't see that as a hinderance," said Warren Wilkerson, Pendarvis' manager.

"In fact, we welcome the challenge. Mookie is in top form and shape, if he could fight tomorrow he would, he's ready to go."
