Undefeated British heavyweight standout David Price improved to 15-0 and defended his British and Commonwealth titles with a second-round knockout of Matt Skelton in his native Liverpool, England on Friday.

Price, who has stopped 13 of his 15 opponents, hurt and floored the 45-year-old veteran with a body attack late in the second round. Skelton (28-7, 23 knockouts), who tried his best to press the action from the opening bell, was counted out by referee Rick Davis while on all fours. His corner had tossed in the towel before Davis even began to count.

Skelton is no spring chicken but the Bedford native is usually a durable opponent. He started fast, pinning Price to the ropes in the opening seconds of the bout, but the 6-foot-8 2004 Olympic bronze medalist was unflustered by the attrack and established range by the middle of the round.

Price stunned Skelton with one-two combinations in the second round before dropping the former Commonwealth titleholder, who was unable to cleanly connect with his lunging overhand rights.

Price, who is aiming for a huge domestic showdown with fellow unbeaten standout Tyson Fury, has stopped all of his 2011 and 2012 opponents -- seven total -- within four rounds.
