Former junior welterweight titleholder Amir Khan and unbeaten prospect Carlos Molina both weighed-in at 139¾ pounds for their Showtime-televised main event at the L.A. Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles on Saturday. Their scheduled 12-round bout headlines a Showtime Championship Boxing tripleheader that includes a heavyweight bout between unbeaten prospects Deontay Wilder and Kelvin Price, and a junior middleweight bout between come-backing contender Alfredo Angulo and Jorge Silva. Wilder weighed in at 223 pounds at Friday’s weigh-in. Price weighed 240 pounds. Angulo weighed in at 154½ pounds. Silva weighed 156. Unbeaten bantamweight titleholder Leo Santa Cruz, who headlines a special CBS-televised boxing card at the L.A. Memorial Sports Arena on Saturday afternoon, also weighed-in on Friday. Santa Cruz weighed 117¾ pounds for his IBF title defense against undefeated challenger Alberto Guevara, who weighed 117½. Highly-touted 2012 U.S. Olympian Joseph Diaz Jr., who turns pro on the CBS show, weighed 122 pounds for his scheduled four rounder. |
