altUnbeaten featherweight prospect Gary Russell Jr. will face twice-beaten Russian Vyacheslav Gusev on March 2 at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Undefeated featherweight prospect Gary Russell Jr. will pursue his fourth straight knockout when he meets Russian standout Vyacheslav Gusev on the Showtime-televised March 2 undercard of a main event featuring unbeaten lightweight contender Sharif "The Lion" Bogere and Richard Abril in a clash for the WBA's vacant belt from the Joint at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer confirmed the double-header.

A 24-year-old resident of Captiol Heights, Md., Russell Jr. is 21-0 with 13 knockouts, and Gusev, 20-2 with five stoppage victories.

Bogere is 23-0, with 15 knockouts, and Abril, 17-3-1 with eight stoppage wins. Bogere suffered a partial tear of his left Achilles tendon that forced him out of November's scheduled bout against Abril.
