Super middleweight titleholder Carl Froch has decided to cut ties with Hennessy Sports and find a new promoter, livefight.com reported.
"I'm no longer working with my representative, Mick Hennessy," Froch told the Web site Saturday about the long-rumored split. He made no comment about plans to obtain a new promoter, but confirmed that he's planning to promote himself for the remainder of the Super Six tournament.
"My next two fights are already mapped out within the Super Six tournament," he said. "I'm just solely concentrating right now on beating the likes of Glencoffe Johnson and hopefully Andre Ward."
Froch currently is training to fight Johnsonin the semifinals of the Super Six in June 4in Atlantic City, N.J.
"The Super Six is really going to be drilled home over the next six months, and it will be really special if I can put the shots together and wrap this trophy up in style," he said. "It's all I think about right now. I'm going all guns blazing to win it."
