Unbeaten junior welterweight prospect Frankie Gomez headlines the Fight Night Club card on April 28 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, which will be streamed live on RingTV.com and televised on Fox Sports Net and its regional affiliates.
Gomez, whose opponent has yet to be selected, is coming off a shutout six-round decision over veteran Jose Alfredo Lugo in January.
The 19-year-old East Los Angeles resident is working with veteran trainer Abel Sanchez in Big Bear, Calif.
Gomez (8-0, 6 knockouts) knocked out his two opponents on previous appearances on Fight Night Club cards, which take place the last Thursday of most months.
Also, all-action lightweight Ramon Valadez (7-1, 4 KOs) of East L.A. returns to Club Nokia for the sixth time against an opponent yet to be determined. He has scored three consecutive knockouts.
And junior middleweight prospect Alfonso Blanco (4-0, 2 KOs) of Oxnard, Calif., will put his perfect record on the line. He competed for his native Venezuela in the 2008 Olympics.
HOT 92.3’s Jimmy Reyes and THE RING magazine's Ring Card Girl of the Month Paulina Garces will serve as co-hosts at the downtown L.A. night club, where recording artist Tiffany “Taz” Zavala also will give a live performance.
The live stream on RingTV.com will begin at 8 p.m. PT / 11 p.m. ET. Doors open at 6 p.m. PT. The first bell is at 7 p.m. PT.
The series will return to Club Nokia on June 23, August 25, October 27 and November 18.
