Showtime will air a recording of Mikkel Kessler's scheduled 12-round super middleweight bout against Medhi Bouadla on June 4, just before the live broadcast of the Carl Froch-Glen Johnson Super Six World Boxing Classic semifinal and WBC title bout.
The fight, which takes place in Kessler's hometown of Copenhagen, Denmark, will be the Danish star's first fight since beating Froch in a WBC title bout that was part of the Super Six tournament 14 months ago. Kessler (43-2, 32 knockouts) withdrew from Showtime's super middleweight tournament after experiencing double vision following the Froch fight. He was recently medically cleared to train and fight again.
Bouadla (23-3, 11 KOs) is a capable 29-year-old journeyman from France.
The Showtime broadcast will begin at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast).
