Lightweight titleholder Juan Manuel Marquez told examiner.com that he plans to bulk up when he fights Manny Pacquiao on Nov. 12 in Las Vegas, as he did when he fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. at 147 pounds.
Only this time he plans to be smarter about it. He will gain weight under a doctor's supervision.
“I will come in at a higher weight than normal,” Marquez told the Web site, “but I will have doctors monitoring my progress.”
Pacquiao and Marquez agreed upon a catch weight of 144 pounds.
