Wladimir Klitschko could pursue a 15th straight win in defense of his RING, WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight belts against 39-year-old former cruiserweight titleholder Jean Marc Mormeck, RingTV.com has learned. The fight would take place at the ESPRIT arena in Düsseldorf, Germany, on Dec. 10.
"There just isn't much competition out there for him," said the source.
Mormeck (36-4, 22 KOs) has won three straight heavyweight bouts since being dethroned as WBA and WBC cruiserweight beltholder in November of 2007 by David Haye (25-2, 23 KOs), whose 15-fight winning streak was ended by Klitschko (56-3, 49 KOs) via unanimous decision in July.
Mormeck was also stopped in the 10th round in January of 2006 by O'Neil Bell (26-4-1, 24 KOs), whom he then decisioned two fights and fourteen months later to regain the WBA and WBC belts.
