Top Rank Promotions CEO Bob Arum has acknowledged that he has an interest in placing former WBO and WBC junior welterweight beltholder Tim Bradley on the undercard of the Nov. 12 Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez fight, but that the amount of money he would pay the ex-titleholder contradicts a reported number.
Arum said that when the litigation is complete, he will approach Bradley and his manager, Cameron Dunkin, to discuss options.
Arum also disputed the notion that he was willing to offer Bradley $1.2 million to appear on the card featuring WBO welterweight titleholder Pacquiao in his third bout opposite WBO and WBA lightweight beltholder Marquez.
“The $1.2 million is absurd, but yeah there’s a possibility that he could be on the card, absolutely. But we haven’t discussed it with anybody,” said Arum.
“But we’re interested in Bradley. When their lawyers say that we can go ahead, we will open up discussions with his manager.”
