Mayweather weighs in at 146.5 pounds; Ortiz tips scales at 147

Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz looked ripped and ready at the Friday weigh-in for their welterweight title bout on Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather weighed in at 146.5 pounds, half a pound under the welterweight limit. Ortiz, the WBC welterweight titleholder, weighed in at a buffed-looking 147 pounds.

Erik Morales, who fights Pablo Cesar Cano for the vacant WBC super lightweight title on the Mayweather-Ortiz undercard, weighed in at 140 pounds, the junior welterweight (also known as super lightweight) limit. Cano also weighed in at 140 pounds.

Undefeated junior welterweight prospect Jessie Vargas weighed in at 142 pound for his scheduled 10-round bout against Josesito Lopez, also on the pay-per-view undercard on Saturday. Lopez, who got into a shoving match with Vargas just before the weigh-in, tipped the scales at 140.2 pounds.
