Ring Ratings Update: Hernandez KO’d

Not much of note occurred in boxing this past weekend, although Adrian Hernandez’s world certainly was turned upside down.

The Mexican, rated No. 1 among junior flyweights by THE RING at the time, was stopped by unrated Kompayak Porpamook of Thailand in the 10th round of a thriller Friday in Bangkok.

Hernandez (22-1-1, 14 KOs) lost both his WBC title and his rating. He slipped to No. 8 as a result of the loss.

Porpamook (44-3, 30 KOs) enters at No. 7. The 29-year-old from Buriram has fought only twice outside his country, once in Cambodia early in his career and again when he was stopped in four rounds by Hussein Hussein in Australia in 2006.

That was Porpamook’s last loss. He has won 22 consecutive fights.

There were no changes in any other weight class.
