Edwin Rodriguez and Don George are more than ready for thier anticipated HBO-televised co-feature to Martinez-Macklin on Saturday. Both super middleweight prospects spoke to RingTV’s Bill Emes after the final press conference in New York.
George, who embraces the role of the underdog in the slugger matchup, says he’s “swinging for a knokcout.”
Rodriguez predicts “a bloody war” for as long as the fight lasts.
“He gets hit and he fights back,” Rodriguez said of George. “He comes forward. He’s a warrior. It’s a perfect fit for me. He doesn’t know how to take a step back — I’m going to force him.”
