Timothy Bradley was nearly stopped multiple times but survived to defeat Ruslan Provodnikov by a unanimous decision in a thrilling brawl Saturday in Carson, Calif.
The judges scored it 114-113, 114-113 and 115-112. THE RING scored it 114-113 for Bradley.
Bradley (30-0, 12 knockouts) was hurt badly in the first, second, sixth and 12th rounds but somehow remained on his feet throughout. For most of the rest of the fight, he outboxed and outworked Provodnikov (22-2, 15 KOs) to win rounds.
Bradley retained his WBO 147-pound title.
