Back-to-back-to-back Golden Boy Promotions events sell 50,000 tickets

Boxing fans have purchased approximately 50,000 tickets for three consecutive weekends of boxing events promoted by Golden Boy Promotions in April and May, the Los Angeles-based company announced on Thursday.

Golden boy’s three consecutive weeks of championship boxing begins with the junior middleweight title showdown between Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Austin Trout at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on April 20, followed by THE RING junior welterweight title bout between champ Danny Garcia and former champ Zab Judah at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on April 27, and concludes with the biggest fight of the year so far, Floyd Mayweather’s WBC welterweight title defense against Robert Guerrero on May 4 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The April 20 and April 27 events will be televised live on Showtime; the May 4 “MAY DAY: Mayweather vs. Guerrero” mega-event will be produced and distributed by Showtime PPV.

Remaining “MAY DAY” tickets for priced at $1,500, $1,250, $800 and $600, not including applicable service charges, are on sale now with a total ticket limit of 10 per person.
