Garcia outpoints Judah to retain RING title

Danny Garcia survived a rally from Zab Judah to win a unanimous decision and retain his RING championship and WBC and WBA titles Saturday in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Garcia (26-0, 16 knockouts) dominated the first two thirds of the fight with his power punches, hurting Judah (42-8, 29 KOs) badly in the fifth and sixth rounds and putting him down in the eighth.

However, Judah, fit and determined, survived to rally in the late rounds. He hurt Garcia in Round 10.

Judah was cut above and below his left eye. And Garcia was cut in the middle of his forehead, the result of a clash of heads.

The scores were 115-112, 114-112 and 116-111, all for Garcia.
