Pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. was a guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night in the wake of this past Saturday’s unanimous decision over Robert Guerrero at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Mayweather (44-0, 26 knockouts) earned THE RING 147-pound championship by defeating Guerrero (31-2-1, 18 KOs), ending a 15-bout winning streak that had included nine knockouts before nearly 16,000 fans.
On May 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast), Showtime will re-air the Mayweather-Guerrero fight, in addition to the 126-pound debut of Abner Mares (26-0-1, 14 KOs), who scored a ninth-round stoppage of Daniel Ponce de Leon (44-5, 35 KOs) for the WBC featherweight belt.
The victory earned Mares a title in a third weight class over the span of 18 months.
