LAS VEGAS — Floyd Mayweather Jr. weighed in today at 150.5 pounds for his fight against Canelo Alvarez on Saturday at the MGM Grand. Alvarez weighed 152.
The fight is for Alvarez’s RING junior middleweight championship and will unify two sanctioning-body titles. The fighters agreed upon a catch weight of 152 pounds, two below the 154-pound standard.
Also, Lucas Matthysse and Danny Garcia both weighed 140 for their junior welterweight title fight. Garcia is the RING champion.
