Nathan Cleverly, Tony Bellew, Anthony Joshua on July 12 card

Former WBO light heavyweight titleholder Nathan Cleverly and ex-175-pound title challenger Tony Bellew may be moving toward a rematch by sharing spots as cruiserweights on a July 12 card at the Echo Arena in Liverpool live on Sky Sports, Matchroom Sport announced on Thursday.

Opponents for both men will be named at a June 10 press conference, according to Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Spoort.

"July 12 promises to be a great night in Liverpool as we sign off for the summer with a bang," said Hearn via press release. "There's real animosity between Tony and Nathan as they aim to overcome one final hurdle before they meet in October."

Cleverly (27-1, 13 knockouts), 27, defeated Bellew (21-2-1, 13 KOs) by majority decision at Echo Arena in an October 2011 defense of the WBO belt he later lost by fourth-round technical knockout to Sergey Kovalev last August. Cleverly debuted as a 200-pounder with last month's second-round stoppage of Shawn Corbin to rebound from the loss to Kovalev.

Bellew, 31, went 4-0-1 with two knockouts after falling to Cleverly before losing a bid for the RING and WBC 175-pound championships by sixth-round stoppage to Adonis Stevenson in November. Bellew bounced back from the loss to Stevenson in March, scoring a 12th-round knockout against Valery Brudov.

Also on the card, Olympic gold medalist and heavyweight Anthony Joshua will look to improve to 7-0 with as many knockouts against an opponent to be determined, having scored last month's 83-second knockout of Matt Legg on the undercard of the eighth-round stoppage win over George Groves by IBF super middleweight titleholder Carl Froch.

Also fighting against opponents to be determined will be super middleweights Rocky Fielding (18-0, 10 KOs), Callum Smith (11-0, 9 KOs) and Paul Smith (35-3, 20 KOs) and junior lightweight Stephen Smith (19-1, 12 KOs), all of whom were in action last month. Callum and Paul Smith are brothers.

Fielding, 26, was last in action in March, when he unanimously decicioned Charles Adamu. Callum Smith, 24, was last in action scoring his ninth straight knockout, doing so against Tobias Webb in the second round. Paul Smith, 31, is coming off a second-round stoppage of David Sarabia.

Stephen Smith, 28, won for the seventh consecutive time in a run that has included six knockouts, scoring his fourth straight stoppage against Mauricio Javier Munoz. Smith's lone setback was an eighth-round stoppage loss to Lee Selby in September 2011.

"Anthony fights in Liverpool for the first time as a pro," said Hearn, "and Callum and Rocky will be in big step-ups."
